The 5th General Assembly Meeting of the LibrarIN project was held on 6-7 November 2024 in Vienna, Austria, hosted by project partner AIT Austrian Institute of Technology at the WIFI Wien premises.
Objectives of the Meeting
The meeting focused on the following key objectives:
- Ensuring partner responsibilities, activities, and task outputs are aligned.
- Clarifying open questions and resolving pending issues.
- Reviewing the project timeline and ensuring timely delivery of planned deliverables.
- Determining key priorities for the next phase of the project.
- Agreeing on a detailed plan for the upcoming months.
Progress and Collaboration
After a full year of activities, the meeting provided an opportunity to assess the progress of various work packages, strengthen collaborations developed during the project, and plan the next steps.
A dedicated session on the LibrarIN sustainability plan was held, accompanied by an open forum where partners shared diverse perspectives on the future of the project’s assets and community, as well as their commitments to its success.
Key discussions also covered:
- Publications planning for Year 3 of the project.
- Preparations for the LibrarIN Final Conference, scheduled for May 2025 at the University of Alcalá in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain.
Library Tours and Stakeholder Engagement
The meeting concluded with library guided tours, organised for both LibrarIN consortium partners and members of the LibrarIN Stakeholder Panel, who had travelled to Vienna for the in-person Co-creation Session and Stakeholder Panel Meeting on November 8th.
Participants were divided into three groups, visiting:
- The City of Vienna Libraries.
- The C3 Library.
- The Austrian National Library.
Closing Activities
The day ended with a working dinner at Brandauers restaurant, providing an opportunity for partners and members of the Stakeholder Panel to connect in an informal setting and reflect on the meeting’s discussions.
The 5th General Assembly Meeting was a pivotal moment for aligning the project’s goals, fostering collaboration, and setting the stage for the next phase of LibrarIN.
