We are pleased to share that the LibrarIN project has been featured in the latest European Commission CORDIS Synergy Info Pack, titled “The Multifaceted Role of Public Libraries.”
This new publication showcases 14 EU-funded projects that highlight how public libraries across Europe are evolving into inclusive, innovative, and future-oriented spaces that foster democracy, creativity, and social cohesion.
LibrarIN appears in Chapter 3: Libraries and the Economy, as a key initiative driving the transformation of European public libraries through value co-creation and social innovation. Coordinated by Athens Technology Center (ATC), the project provides libraries with new metrics, tools, and recommendations to help them transition toward demand-driven, community-centered service models—ensuring they remain vital cultural and social anchors in their communities.
The publication emphasises that “LibrarIN seeks to provide a new generation of European public libraries with the tools, strategies and recommendations they need to reposition themselves as the cultural and social bedrock of the neighbourhoods, cities and regions they serve.”
